To the Teachers
The present book is basically designed to enhance the reading comprehension skill in the students of Theology and Islamic Sciences in their ESP courses. Each lesson includes the following sections: adottles arts grimsono
This section is aimed at familiarizing the students with the pronunciation and ont meaning of the new words used in the lesson and removing their phonetic problems through individual as well as choral practice in the classroom. Here, an effort has been made to present difficult terms and expressions, especially those which help understanding to the text, within easily discernible statements and thus to avoid translating them into Persian in this stage of thi teaching. It is to be noted that teachers can use good sentences of their own in addition to the ones available in the book.
The Main Text
Here, the main text of the lesson is presented to the students. Teachers are kindly requested to attract the students' attention to the main points of the text either through very simple explanations in English or by posing a few pre- reading comprehensible questions about the content of the text and writing them on the board to help the students raise appropriate schemata. Naturally, in the case of very complicated texts, a brief explanation in Persian would be quite in order.
